Chris' '90 Toyota Celica All-Trac Turbo (aka "The Shuttle")
Engine Modifications

The Shuttle's engine was rebuilt during the summer of 1999 to the following specs:
 

 

  I had a new head prepared in March 2006 with the following:
  • Competition multi-angle valve job
  • Ferrea F1864P 1 mm oversize intake valves
  • Ferrea F1866P 1 mm oversize exhaust valves
  • Ferrea valve spring kit (including retainers)
  • New tungsten carbide valve seats
  • Blend bowls and seats

Reassembled with

  • HKS 272 cams, degreed
  • 1ZZ valve (shimless) buckets
  • TTE 1.4 mm head gasket
  • L19 head studs (replaces the ARP head studs)

 

In addition, the factory T-Vis (Toyota Variable Induction System) has been eliminated.
