Engine Modifications

The Shuttle's engine was rebuilt during the summer of 1999 to the following specs:

JUN 2.2L crank and pistons
JUN 3S-GTE connecting rods
ARP 3S-GTE main stud kit
ARP 3S-GTE head stud kit (read my story about this head stud kit!)
Oil System Modifications
Engine build sheet

I had a new head prepared in March 2006 with the following:

Competition multi-angle valve job
Ferrea F1864P 1 mm oversize intake valves
Ferrea F1866P 1 mm oversize exhaust valves
Ferrea valve spring kit (including retainers)
New tungsten carbide valve seats
Blend bowls and seats

Reassembled with

HKS 272 cams, degreed
1ZZ valve (shimless) buckets
TTE 1.4 mm head gasket
L19 head studs (replaces the ARP head studs)

In addition, the factory T-Vis (Toyota Variable Induction System) has been eliminated.
