All-Trac Turbo
(aka "The
Shuttle") Turbo System - GT35 Turbo |
Updated: August 29, 2023 |
Background. My previous turbo, an Innovative T04E-50 / T3 stage 5 .82 a/r triple ball-bearing turbo, provided 425 whp at 22 psi. So, it's now time to upgrade to a more capable turbo. Enter a Garrett GT35, which should take me to at least 550 whp, and hopefully, 600 whp.
Since the GT35 is physically larger than the T04E-50, and for various other reasons, I have elected to fabricate another turbo header shown below under construction. As of the date of this posting, the manifold is not complete, and once it's done, I'll then work on fitting the oil feed and drain lines, the water cooling lines, and I need to slightly modify the turbo to IC pipe. Also included is an upgrade from a Tial 40 mm wastegate to a Tial 44 mm wastegate.
Ok, it's done! Even a new heat shield.
