Chris' '90 Toyota Celica All-Trac Turbo (aka "The Shuttle")
Autronic SMC - Clutch Switches
Updated: September 25, 2017

Both flat-shift and launch control require an input denoting when the clutch is depressed, so I fabricated two individually adjustable switches under the dash on the clutch pedal. The flat-shift switch applies a ground to an input on the SMC when when the clutch is depressed; this, in turn, signals to the SMC that a gear-change is occurring. The launch control switch makes contact when the clutch is depressed, which, in turn, energizes a relay that substitutes the coolant temp sender with a resister with a known value - the known value correlating to a particular engine temp - thus causing a change in RPM limit based upon this "fake" engine temp.
